Yes...I am still around...

I'm just never around to work on this thing! Too much school and work stuff going on. But, I wouldn't have it any other way!

Fallen Snow Design

Hello again! Hey so I'm doing something new with my life now. I figured since I'm having such a hard time getting people to hire me, I might as well hire myself! So I'm in the process of starting my own graphic design business called Fallen Snow Design. That's the cool little logo I made for it. I'm going to be doing pretty much anything anyone wants me to do. Which could include, but isn't limited to: wedding announcements, graduation announcements, baby announcements, invitations, thank you cards, business cards, logo design, or even just touching up all your pictures from your summer vacation!

I've started a Facebook group for this. Just search for Fallen Snow Design on Facebook and you'll be able to find it! Join the group and let's try to get something going! I'm posting numerous examples of my work on the group page. I'm also starting work on a website so I can have a more "professional" online portfolio.

If you, or anyone you know needs any type of graphic design work done just let me know! Thanks for your help!

The Joys of Unemployment!

So, summer is here!!!! WOOOOO!!!!!!!! Now that's all fine and dandy but I'm facing a small dilemma. I still don't have a job. School has been over for nearly a month and I still don't know what to do. My job rejection e-mail wall was pretty fun to make tonight. It's not actually on the wall...it's on my door. It was kind of depressing yet somehow comical to me when I was making it. I don't know. I'm weird I guess. I just don't understand why I'm not getting a job. If anyone knows where the heck I can get a job...let me know!!!!

What a bunch of smart college kids!!!

This post I think personifies my dad's classic saying: "Buy these kids books, send 'em to school, teach 'em, teach 'em, and what do ya get?!?!?!?!? NOTHING!!!" Yup, sledding down stairs probably isn't the smartest thing in the world to do. But, it was so dang fun!

The Crazy World We Live In...

In my International Economics class today, my teacher showed us this youtube video (it's amazing how many youtube videos you see in school now).  I just thought this video was pretty interesting.  It talks about how much the world has changed, and how much it will change in regards to population, demographics, technology and all that fun stuff.  Fun stuff!

2009??? Already? But 2008 Just Started!

Well...I guess it's about time I do a sappy "it's the end of the year....I had such a great year...full of changes...fun times....2008 was amazing..." type of post.  So, here it is.  Well...as of right now...2008 has a mere 4 hours 57 minutes left.  Quite a bit of fun stuff happened this year.  I decided the University of Utah well, wasn't that fun.  I found out Utah State is waaaay better!  I learned that working at Kohl's isn't a good idea.  I found my love for guitar and graphic design again.  I got the worst grades of my life, then got the best grades of my life.  And my social life, well it's getting there.  All in all...pretty spiffy year.  All I really can say about 2009 is...BRING IT!  Anyway here are some pics from December fun!

This is the "smokin' missionary" snowman the fellas made at Grandma and Grandpa's.  He's even got a trash bag for a mouth.  Tells ya he's been hanging around too many sailors.
And here I've got photographic evidence that Grandpa's grass is seriously super green ALL YEAR LONG!  Look at that stuff!  Most people can't even get theirs that green during the summer!
Last night I had some of the Snow cousins (Lindsay & Kip & Gracie, Brad, and Kylie) over for some super delicious Korean food!  I whipped up some Bi Bim Bap and wow!  It was gooooood!
See, Lindsay even finished her entire bowl!
Okay...this picture was a complete accident.  But, it turned out really cool!  I swear you'd see that kind of lighting in some magazine ad or something!

It's here!

Okay...I know I should be studying for my Life Science final tomorrow.  But really, who wants to do that?!?!?!?!  But, the big news of the week (even though it happened last week) is that Ben's CD is all done and now we've got 10 boxes of CDs stacked up in our kitchen!  I'm really surprised at how well it all turned out.  The music of course is amazing!  It's definitely getting some good play time on my iPod.  The songs are just so...I don't know...happy.  I think my favorite is Simple Wish.  That song just rocks!  The release concert went pretty well.  Ben had a ton of fun playing.  I had a ton of fun being stressed out over stuff not working.  Ben even sold a few CDs!  Woooo!  Just a few more hundred to sell now!  I would highly recommend this CD!  It's just all around snazzy!
Anyway, here are a few pics of the fun!

Just a Few More Days...

In just a few more days my good friend, Ben Oman, will release his newest CD:  OPTIMIZE!!!!  This is one sweet CD!  I've had the music on my iPod for quite a while now and I am loving it!  Ben was nice enough to let me do the graphic design on the CD and I had a blast doing it!  It turned out great!  Ben and I had plenty of idea changes on the design, but we are both happy with the final result.  I've posted the cover below (I used at least 13 original photographs in making that cover...cool eh?), but to see the rest of the art work you will just have to buy the CD!  Trust me, it will be well worth your 10 dollars.  If you want to buy his CD try going to his website: BEN OMAN.  He will probably be selling that starting on December 5th.  If it's not there and you want a copy, just let me know and I'll hook ya up!  Oh, you can also listen to some of the songs on his website, as well as on his facebook page!  So, be a nice chum and go check it out!

Trace Bundy!!!!

So last Thursday Trace Bundy did a concert up here at school...and wow!  That was one amazing concert!  Not only is he super good at the guitar, he's a funny down to earth guy!  He's turned down record deals just because he wants to keep it simple and not be really famous.  So, definitely check him out if you've never heard of him!

Halloweeeeeeeen!

I think this was probably the funnest (is that even a word?)  halloween I've had for years!  I mean, heck, I actually dressed up!  That hasn't happened for a while.  So, Friday came around and I went to the Howl up here at USU.  Let me tell ya, that was quite the experience.  Luckily it wasn't as "eventful" as it has been in earlier years.  I hear that was quite the wild party a few years ago.  This year wasn't too bad.  The coolest part was the band Recycled Percussion.  That was a blast!  Anyway, it was just a good time hangin out with some good friends and seeing plenty of weird people!  Oh, for the record we saw about 15 guys dressed up as the Joker.  But, my friend Justin was the best one out of them all!
